Do you love chocolate? Bunnies? Baby animals?
Then Easter is the right time of the year for you. You probably know that Easter is on the 21st of April this year, but Easter changes every year. Have you ever wondered why?
Easter is in between the 21st of March and the 25th of April. Easter is in Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and in Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon that happens after the vernal equinox. Which is the Spring equinox. It happens when the sun crosses the celestial equator, so day and night are the same length.
Everyone knows that you eat chocolate eggs when it’s Easter, this is an overt custom. Did you know that on Easter or on Resurrection Sunday. Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead.
I hope I’ve given you a bit more of an understanding about Easter, when and why it occurs. So this Easter you don’t have to eat a million chocolate eggs wondering why Easter even occurs.
